About Miller, Flinn, Robertson, Young Families of Iowa
Please sign in to see more.
This site is really divided into two seperate family trees; the Miller/Flinn line and the Robertson/Young line. The Miller and Flinn family lines are my side, while the Robertson/Young lines are my life partner's, Curtis Dean Robertson. Although we met in California, both of our families are from Iowa, in and around Des Moines and the surrounding counties.
This is an on going and active site. I am still in the process of entering all the information I personally have (a lot!). I have not yet begun to ask others to start filling in the "blanks".
Almost all of the Miller family information comes from the "William Miller Family" book, 512 pages, compiled by Alna Irene Suddeth Meacham, printed in 1982 by Sutherland Printing Co., Montezuma, IA.
William Miller had two wives and Alna is the Great Grandaughter of William and his first wife Adriana. Consequently most of the information she compiled was from their decendants. Alna started to include the family from Williams second wife Charlotte (Lottie) almost as an afterthought and she did not spend as much time compiling infromation as she was under a deadline to produce the book. William and Lotties family begins on page 365. William and Adriana had 5 children. William and Lottie had 7 children. When Williams last child, August, was born, he was 59 years old (no viagra needed!)and was already a grandfather 18 times.
I am a Great Grandson of William and Lottie, grandson of Frank V. and Olga Miller and son of Richard H. and Helen L. Miller.
 Richard H. Miller, Jr.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
