Wish I knew how they met. But this tall giant fell in love with this petite young gal, married in 1921. Had 8 living children who they raised in Bourbonnais. Those 8 grew and married, with most staying in the Bourbonnais area, and raising their own children. Ralph grew up on Main Street across from the Legris home. Did not serve in the War. Ralph's ancestor's came with Noel Levasseur from Quebec. Found some notes about Rose. Worked at Bear Brand, was laid off and then worked at the Kankakee State Hospital. (possibly in the kitchen) met Ralph, who was a caregiver @ the State Hospital before he went to Kroehler's for 40 years. At some point moved to 481 Main Street and raised their kids. The Marcotte's lived in the same house on South Main in Bourbonnais until Ralph's retirement, when the couple moved a few feet from their original home to another house on Rivard Street. Next door was Mush (EJ) and in their old home, Ralph Jr moved his tribe. Down the street was Henrietta and her tribe. Main Street became a little village of Marcotte's, Kyrouac's and Rivard's. This tree will show the many branches of their union. Also in this orchard of love, the Mercier side was a big part of many reunions. Rose's dad would live to be 94 and his tree is a large expansive oak, lots of branches. If there are more to be added please let me know! Thanks !
