My name is Betty Fell Marlar and I live in Iuka, MS. I have been researching my family and my husband's family for almost 20 years. I only regret that I did not start sooner before my parents and other relatives passed away. I love finding new information and sharing with others. My husband always told me that I will find out something I don't want to know but I don't think I ever will. I want to know about the skeltons in the closet but I also want to know the good, such as the fact that country music singer Sonny James (real name James Loden) is a distant cousin. His great grandmother is the older sister of my great grandfather. I would never have known this if I had not done my research.
I love taking pictures and adding them and other information to findagrave.com. Please feel free to contact me if you need more information or have more information or corrections on my tree. Some of my surnames are Marlar, Fell, Frederick, Owens, Davis, Kidd, Ailer/Aylor, Lambert, Pickens, just to name a few. Enjoy browsing and please sign my guest book and let me know what you think.
NOTE: Thanks for the kind words from all family members who have contacted me about this website. I want this to be "our" site so please if you have additional information or pics or if something is incorrect please let me know. Thanks to all the family members who have helped me with information for this site, especially Tommie Marlar of marlarweb.com, William Marlar, Bettye Knight, Chris Gentle, John Ragsdale, Tammy Davis, Tony and Nancy Copeland, Norman Crook, Mike Frederick, Sue Richardson, and many others! I apologize if I didn't mention your name, but I am so thankful for all the family and friends who have been so supportive. Please check back often as this site is truly a "work in progress".
I hope you will check out my new blog that I have started. It is called "Journal in a Blog" and will be filled with my memories of growing up in a small town during the 1940's, 50's, and 60's. I hope you will enjoy reading the memories, and seeing pictures and videos of a simpler life. Maybe it will inspire you to start one of your own for your children and grandchildren! Go to http://journalinablog.blogspot.com or click on My blog on the right hand side of this page. Let me know what you think about it. Thanks!!!!

There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.
In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
