About The Family History of John Clark and Maria Ritchie
Please sign in to see more.
This tree represents the ancestors and family of My father John Clark Snr who had a go some years ago. He did this by painstakingly trudging round libraries and the GRO trying to put together the bones of a family tree to give to his family. Unfortunately my father passed away in 1996. I started my research in 2008 Now with the advent of the internet researching our family history has never been easier. Especially for us Scots who have records second to none, on the Scotlands People website.

I have also had some assistance from distant relatives in Australia, Canada and more recently Cyprus. The boys on the Great War and the Ypres Battlefield forums along with my friends on Ancestryaid have been amazing.

Please feel free to have a good "rake" around. My personal heroes are, William Carr 1/7th Northumberland Fusiliers, his brother Thomas Carr Northumberland Hussars, Yeomanry and Andrew Fairweather 2nd Btn Royal Scots, killed in action. William Carr at Soave wood near Hooge, Thomas Carr at Hepburn Lodge, Northumberland and Andrew Clark at Arras.

We even have a royal connection in William Dewar Fairweather Head Gamekeeper to Claude Bowes Lyon (The Queen Mother's father)

Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
