About The Licari & Allied Families
MIO CARO FAMIGLIA=My Dear Family this website is DEDICATED to all the descendants of Antonio LICARI (b. 1640-1650) and Angela
 CATALFIO LICARI. I also want to DEDICATE this site to my husband, Larry Licari. His brave and courageous ancestors who left Sicily in the late 1800s and early 1900s crossing the Atlantic Ocean on a two to three week voyage in steerage> They knew what they were leaving behind, but they did not know what they were coming to in their new country. The first place our Licari’s lived in Brooklyn, Kings, New York was 165 Stone Avenue. Antonio Barresi & Baldassare Licari, his brother -in-law, are our very first immigrants in New York via Ellis Island in 1906. Many of the LICARI’s settled in Brooklyn, New York, Frankfort, New York, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Texas, California to mention a few places they settled and they helped build the USA. They became naturalized citizens, reared their families, worked their jobs and contributed to their new homeland. They are the descendants of Antonio & Angela Catalfio Licari via their son, Antonino Licari & Francesca Finetta Licari
    I have researched the records via the Latter Day Saints Library and their collections of births, marriage, and death records that were microfilmed from Montelepre, Monreale, San Giuseppe Iato, San Cipirello, Palermo, Sicily records. In addition over the years others have helped and contributed to this work and to them I owe a huge debt of gratitude and many thanks. I have tried to be as accurate as
 possible. I know there maybe some errors and I welcome any discussion and corrections if you note any mistakes in my work.
 I hope you enjoy the site and hope you will contribute. This page is by invitation only page. If you
 want to add a story or leave a sentiment about your ancestor feel free to do so on their individual page and please feel welcome.
 NOTE: Patron Saints of Sicily are Saint Joseph March 19th and Saint Rosalia who our Nonna Rosalia Pecoraro Licari possibly was named. St. Rosalia Festa Day is celebrated September 4th each year. It is by GOD’s Grace our Maestro Giuseppe Antonio Licari was born March 19, 1779.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dedicated to all our loves who have passed over❤️❤️❤️forever in our hearts and minds.
“If I had just one wish It would be for a stairway, That reached Heaven, so I could bring you  home."
Wish heaven had a phone so I could hear your voice again. I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name.
All I have are memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is a  keepsake, from which I'll never part.  GOD has you in His arms. I have you in my heart. from which I'll never part.
“What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven  into the lives of others."
 ~Pericles
