MIO CARO FAMIGLIA=My Dear Family this website is DEDICATED to all the descendants of Antonio LICARI (b. 1640-1650) and Angela
CATALFIO LICARI. I also want to DEDICATE this site to my husband, Larry Licari. His brave and courageous ancestors who left Sicily in the late 1800s and early 1900s crossing the Atlantic Ocean on a two to three week voyage in steerage> They knew what they were leaving behind, but they did not know what they were coming to in their new country. They were part of the 12 million immigrants from 1892-1924 to reach our shores. The first place our Licari’s lived in Brooklyn, Kings, New York was 165 Stone Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, Antonio Barresi & Baldassare Licari, his brother -in-law, are our very first immigrants in New York via Ellis Island in 1906. Many of the LICARI’s settled in Brooklyn, New York, Frankfort, New York, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Texas, California to mention a few places they settled and they helped build the USA. They became naturalized citizens, reared their families, worked their jobs and contributed to their new homeland. They are the descendants of Antonio & Angela Catalfio Licari via their son, Antonino Licari & Francesca Finetta Licari
I have researched the records via the Latter Day Saints Library and their collections of births, marriage, and death records that were microfilmed from Montelepre, Monreale, San Giuseppe Iato, San Cipirello, Palermo, Sicily records. In addition over the years others have helped and contributed to this work and to them I owe a huge debt of gratitude and many thanks. I have tried to be as accurate as
possible. I know there maybe some errors and I welcome any discussion and corrections if you note any mistakes in my work.
I hope you enjoy the site and hope you will contribute. This page is by invitation only page. If you
want to add a story or leave a sentiment about your ancestor feel free to do so on their individual page and please feel welcome.
