When I was in the seventh grade, I had to do a project for my history class that consisted of  building a family tree back to at least 4 generations.  I was able to work on the project with the  help of my Mom and Dad, and Abuelita (Andrea).  I always vowed to research deeper into the family  roots but never got to it.

In January 2017, my Mom, Idalia Morales, was diagnosed with cancer.  I had the unfortunate  experience of diagnosing her.  The prognosis was poor.  I thought she only had three months to  live, she only lived one month.  During the short time I had with her after the diagnosis, we had  long discussions.  As my Mom's condition worsened, I called the family whom I could reach, and  realized that I did not have a way to contact everyone.  I knew to contact some, but from aside  from the cousins that I grew up with, but I knew that there were others.  My Mom, asked me to reach  out to the family.  To try to unite our family, and that is what I sought out to do.

It started with a family reunion in Bridgeton, NJ in April.  We had about 80 people show up, about  half of the people who showed up I had never met before.  I sent my DNA for analysis via  Ancestry.com prior to the family reunion, and tested a few cousins along with my wife at the  reunion.  What we found was astounding.  We began working on a family tree via Ancestry.com, and  connected with others in Facebook, and planned a future family reunion with the hopes of holding  one every year in a different geographical location.

Today, I have began transferring the names and pictures of the family tree that was built on  Ancestry.com, and hope to use this website, Tribalpages.com to allow the whole family to have a  stake in this tree.  Feel free to update your profiles and those of your immediate family.  And if  you want to extend your tree to incorporate more parts of your own tree, please let me know.   Though the Morales line is by far the largest of the group, it is not the only one.  There are many  lines which branch and interconnect with the Morales.  I hope you enjoy exploring our past.







Cuando yo estaba en el séptimo grado, tuve que hacer un proyecto para mi clase de historia que  consistía en la construcción de un árbol genealógico de nuevo a por lo menos 4 generaciones. Pude  trabajar en el proyecto con la ayuda de mi mamá y papá, y Abuelita (Andrea). Siempre he jurado  investigar más profundamente en las raíces de la familia, pero nunca llegó a ella.

En enero de 2017, mi mamá, Idalia Morales, fue diagnosticada con cáncer. Tuve la desafortunada  experiencia de diagnosticarla. El pronóstico fue deficiente. Pensé que sólo tenía tres meses para  vivir, sólo vivió un mes. Durante el poco tiempo que tuve con ella después del diagnóstico, tuvimos  largas discusiones. A medida que la condición de mi madre empeoraba, llamé a la familia a quien  podía llegar y me di cuenta de que no tenía una forma de contactar a todos. Sabía contactar con  algunos, pero aparte de los primos con los que crecí, pero sabía que había otros. Mi mamá, me pidió  que llegue a la familia. Tratar de unir a nuestra familia, y eso es lo que yo quería hacer.

Hoy, he comenzado a transferir los nombres y las imágenes del árbol genealógico que se construyó en  Ancestry.com, y espero usar este sitio web, Tribalpages.com para permitir que toda la familia tenga  una participación en este árbol. Siéntase libre de actualizar sus perfiles y los de su familia  inmediata. Y si quieres extender tu árbol para incorporar más partes de tu propio árbol, por favor  avísame. Aunque la línea de Morales es con diferencia la más grande del grupo, no es la única. Hay  muchas líneas que se ramifican y se interconectan con los Morales.
