I am a member of GOONS - The 'Guild of One Name Studies' and I have registered the name of MUTUM as a One Name Study. I am also interested in the variant MUTEHAM.
At present the study is mainly comprised of the Mutum family from Brandon Suffolk - which is a small town close to the Suffolk/Norfolk border in England - and the family of which I am a descendent.
The earliest recorded event - so far! -is the death of Thomas MUTUM in 1666. The most recent event is the birth of Harvey Christopher Oliver - our second grandson - on Friday 16th September 2016.. Gina is the most recent MUTUM to be born in England - in 1983 - although since 13th April 2013 her surname is OLIVER.
Other names on this site with numerous entries are GIBBS, HOBSON, BATTELL, SNARE, GULLIFORD, DELL,FOSS and BAILLIE.
There are also Mutum families in the USA and India, which I am working on and I would love to hear from anyone in those countries who can add to this site.
This site is password protected and living persons are hidden - please contact me if you would like to view the site in more detail, have information to be included or you wish to correct any information you feel is inaccurate. If you notice anyone on the site who appears to be over 120 years old it is more likely that I do not yet know their date of death than they they have broken the record for longevity.
