About Birds Nest
Our Bird family can trace its origins to 1010 AD from Hugo le Bird in Normandy. Kis grandson Hugo le Bird, Comte de l'Oiseu. He came with Guillaume le Batard (William the Conqueror) in the Norman invasion in 1066. As a loya aide to William he was granted a large tract of land in Cheshire for his servives.

>The name l'Oiseau is derived from the family home in what is the modern day département of the River Oise, peole from there were known as Oiseaux. The name oiseua is French for bird, hence my name.

Over the years the Birds spread eventually to Suffolk by the 18th century and from there into what is now Greater LOndon.
