About The Lessard - Thompson Family
Please sign in to see more.
This is only a place for me to start. I have a great deal of information to add to the site as time permits. Some of the information I've entered is incomplete - I did it with info that was readily available. As I get more information, I'll update what I've done.

I may have made some gender errors in entering information for various decendents of the Campeau family. I am not familiar with some of the given names and could not always tell if they were male or female. I own up to any errors in that respect.

Sometimes you'll see a name followed by a numeral. This program won't allow you to show the same name for two different people (this was true at the time I made the entries but I see that that has changed somewhat) so I've tried to show the second entry as 2, the third as 3, etc. This can be a problem with the given names for many of the older Canadian entries since in many cases all male children were named Joseph and all females, Marie. In those cases I've tried to show full names including middle names. There may also be some spelling errors but I tried to maintain the spelling as it was given to me from various sources.

A note regarding the Haseltons: The family name has been spelled various ways. The original family member in my source was spelled "Hessiltine" but later members used "Hazelton", "Haseltine" and "Haselton". Our branch of the family descended from Timothy Haselton (1806-1872) who used
the "Haselton" spelling. This branch seemed to consistently use "Haselton".

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
