|About Lance's Family Tree
"a family tree can wither if nobody tends to it's roots"
Welcome to my site! I started researching my family's history in 2004 when I came across my grandfather Mitchell's obituary. Up until that time, I new very little about my roots. Over the years, I've slowly and steadily accumulated thousands of pages of family data. This information has lead me to discover distant cousins and long-lost relatives; each of whom shared invaluable information about my family and their origins. I am eternally thankful for everyone's contribution.
With the exception of the Mitchell Family, and other closely related branches, much of the information on this website has not been independently verified by my own personal research, therefore, all information in this database is subject to outside independent confirmation, verification and correction. If anyone chooses to use this information, they should do so only on a basis for their own independent research unless verifiable sources have been cited. If anyone has additional information and/or corrections or would like to have their information removed from this site, please feel free to contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that much of the information that I have accquired about the earlier generations in this family tree was obtained from other Internet family trees, mail and/or e-mail correspondences, and oral accounts from family members and should not be considered factual or reliable. In many cases, I have found different versions of the same people in other online family trees. In those cases, I have tried my best to choose the version that seemed to be the most plausible.

There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.
In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
