About Roberts Family
Please sign in to see more.
My line of the Roberts' name ended with my father's (Claude Lenox Roberts, Jr.) generation as my father's male cousin (he had only 1 sibling - a sister) also had girls. However, the family tree goes back to the 1600's with research done so far (*). Hopefully with more informational searches on Ireland, Scotland and England we may be able to identify additional ancestors. I also would like to get some family stories input from my dad about his youth and his parents and grandparents. Of note, I am interested in determining if my ancestors by the name Crockett were related to those of David Stern Crockett - better known as Davey Crockett. My Grandmother Lecy believed we were related. In addition, there is a grandmother of the Pierce name who is believed to be a descendant of a line from the President Franklin Pierce. Research indicates that President Pierce had 3 sons none of whom lived long enough to have had children, so my relative is probably down a brother's line rather than directly from President Pierce. Further research is planned on this issue. I also have more pictures I can scan and save with this documentation. On my mother's family tree, I believe the her line of the Ross family name ended at her father's (Andrew Jackson "Jack" Ross, Jr.) generation. I am hopeful to gather some interesting stories from my mom about her parents and grandparents who were early settlers in Texas and had some interesting tales to tell! Here too are more photographs from much earlier years that will be scanned and included. My grandfather, Jack Ross, was Secretary of the State of Texas when I was about 2 years old; he also served on the State Board of Pardons and Paroles for many years when that board was a 3 man team.

Finally, I would like to be able to fill out the family histories in parallel trees where I am able to gather data; so if anyone has information that might add to the cousins, aunts, nephews, and their spouses, please forward it to me at Usbrays04@aol.com.

(*) By way of disclaimer, much of the data I have loaded into Tribalpages was provided from relatives and I personally have not researched or "proven" its accuracy. I will pursue better documentation as time is available and make notes in this database as to my sources. Of note, some of the Roberts information was documented in a family bible source several generations back. I have also taken the liberty of adding in historical data found in other family trees on Ancestry.com connections where I found my data tied together accurately. This too has not been thoroughly researched, although there were many citations from Census records, marriage, birth and death records as well as some family data out of other bibles. Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
