About Our Family History
Please sign in to see more. My curiosity with Genealogy started with the death of my Grandfather J.B York. He died in 1967 in Houston Texas. I was shocked when I found out that he was so close to us and I never knew him. He died in Houston, Texas in a fire in horse stables, and was consumed by the flames. There was a division between him and his remaining 3 daughters. Before his death I had heard very little about him.
So then I stared asking questions about who was who in the family. Ask until I had pushed my limits for the moments. Things begin to open up after time had passed and I begin my quest for answers to ancestors and Descendants.
My grandmother begins to tell what she new of her parents. It is awesome when you find out about these ancestors and the struggle they endured day by day, and there was plenty of hardship they encountered. They laid the foundation of our existents today. That’s why I believe it is so important that we honor the names that are given us because of the hardship that was before us.
I Begun by talking to all the elders I knew an wrote down the information. I began to go to libraries and search the census records. There I found many answers to questions I wanted.
I will continue by quest to find all I can of Our History of lives of our ancestors this task will not be easy, but it will continue to be enjoyable. Until next time my God Bless you and keep you. |
