About The Hoffman/Hussey/Kenyon/Woodmansee Family
Welcome to the Hoffman, Hussey & Kenyon
Family
Tree. It seems my Paternal Grandmother
Jennie
was very prolific and had eight children by
my
Grandfather, Charles Hoffman and four
children
by her second husband, John Hussey. An
interesting story is that she remarried my
grandfather years later after divorcing John
Hussey. Through her our lineage can be
traced
back to two Mayflower passengers (Francis
Cooke
and Richard Warren). One of my cousins was
accepted into the Mayflower Society. Anyone
descended from my Paternal Grandmother, Jane
(Jennie) Shaw Dennis Hoffman Hussey may
apply to
the Mayflower Society.Through her lineage we
also have ties to Sir Thomas More, personal
friend and advisor to King Henry VIII of
England! My mother's side of the family is
the
Kenyon-Gardiner-Woodmansee family. UPDATE:
AUG
2017. I am also a Mayflower Descendant
through
my maternal grandfather's (Robert Dallas
Woodmansee) lineage, back to another
original
passenger, George Soule.
Most of the members of my immediate family
either currently reside in or were born in
Connecticut & Rhode Island, although members
have spread to several states over the
years.
Me? I'm an adventurer - after living in
Rhode
Island for 50 years, I moved to New Mexico
for 5
years, then moved to Pennsylvania for 4 1/2
years. Now I am enjoying the sweet sunshine
of
southern Arizona.
