About The Ardron-Gemmell Families
Please sign in to see more.
Welcome to the family tree of the Ardron & Gemmell families.

Please sign the visitors book before you leave the site and if you have anything you'd like to add to our information - descendants, dates, photos - then please contact me as we'd like this site to be as complete as possible for future generations.

The information on the site has come from various sources - IGI, census records, birth, marriage and death references and certificates as well as other family member's research. We don't claim it to be 100% accurate, but we've have tried our best to check information and validate it, so we've only added things that we're pretty sure of (although we're only human!)

The Ardron and the Gemmell clans joined forces (officially) on 9 January 2006 at the Zorgvliet Wine Estate, Stellenbosch, South Africa when Paula Elizabeth Ardron married Andrew (Archie) Robert Gemmell...although through our research the families have been connected in the early 1700's too, through our Wasteney branches.

Although branches of the families come from all over England, Scotland and Ireland, the main focus is Yorkshire historically where we have a strong link in the villages and towns surrounding Sheffield.

Please have a look around the site, hope you find it informative!

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
