About The Orth and Smith. Woodhead and Clements
Please sign in to see more.
Hi, I am Pennie and I live in England.
 My heritage is:
Irish, Welsh, Scottish and German, oh and English, and I havent finished yet....

The Orth side of my family is my Dad`s. They came to England from Fritzlar in Germany in the late 1800s and became bakers. They married into Wenzel, Bremmer and Tibby. The Wenzels are also from Germany, Dusseldorf we think. My mother`s side are Smiths from Co. Durham. They married Williams from Cumberland and prior to; Wales. Going back a few years the Smiths came through a line of Hall, Hunter, Byerley and Bridgewood, taking in North Yorkshire and the Potteries.

The Woodhead is my husband`s line and they are latterly from Leeds, previously from Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. They married Hall from Yorks and Singleton from Lancs.
His mother`s side is Clements from Portsea [and London/Kent/Devon] and they married Bonus.

Please do take a look and email me if you think we may have a common interest somewhere. I have much more information than this site permits and it would be good to compare notes I am sure.
I should just point out that this a work in progress and some dates are not "proven".

Thanks for your interest.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
