About The Rogers & Turner Family Tree
Please sign in to see more.
This is the family tree of Rogers and Turner. I was born a Rogers and married a Turner. I have become fascinated by genealogy over the years and decided to record all my research for myself and other family members. I began back as a child diligently recording names and facts in my Family History book . It prompted many treasured conversations with my grandparents sadly now all gone. In 2003 with a young family and being housebound I delighted in the new but limited online resources and discovered the now defunct Genes Connected. From here I made big leaps forward. Life happenned and genealogy took a back seat as I navigated my children growing up but grow up they did , and my family moved to Florida in the US. Covid came around and staying home became the new normal and I rediscovered my love of history and genealogy.

Along the way I have been lucky to connect with many distant family genealogists around the world and had many an email conversation and pondered dates and timelines . I am proud to officially record, yes, on my mothers side we are related to the Lady of Lamp Florence Nightingale (who was born a Shore). And I have finally located our highwayman Benjamin Carver's place in our tree.
My saddest moment was updating in February the death of my mother. Before she passed away though I was able to tell her about Florence and Benjamin. As you can imagine she was thrilled and proud (of them both!)
Mum you loved my research and exploring our many branches and twigs of our family tree as much as I did. We excitedly discussed our history and pondered over family traits and events. I hope now you can find the answers to all those questions we still had. Save them for me and we will mull them over once again someday.

Please email me if you think something has been recorded incorrectly or if you wish me to alter or delete any of the details, I will get to it as I can.

Finally I hope you have as much pleasure looking through the information as me, using it for school work maybe or just for a reminiscing experience. I dip in and out of researching as life permits . The adventure continues.....

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
