This is my Family Tree and I have researched several places including the records at the Court House in Nisyros,  Greece and the information contained herein is based on my personal research and is accurate to the best of my  knowledge. I have  spoken to relatives everywhere. My sister Mary Cockinos-Catsimatides  and recently Nick  Sfakianos of New York have both been very helpful.  If there are mistakes to any of your family  members please  email  or call me and I will be happy to correct same.

We never met our grandparents which is sad but we hear they were wonderful people, kind and generous.

My father left Nisyros at the age of 18 and worked in various cities in Turkey and Greece and then came to the  United States in 1905, settled in New York City, worked in other cities in NY and then went to Charleston, SC  and 
 bought a business. In 1921 went back to Nisyros, married my Mom and they settled in Charleston, SC where he  owned Cockinos Bros. Deli and eventually moved to Charlotte, NC where he owned the Hob Nob Restaurant.  They had five children, Mary, Frank, Happy, Petsa and Michael.
