About Absalom Nolen Family circa 1780
Dear Visitors,
This is the family tree of William C/M Nolen, born Oct 24 1807,Barnwell District, SC and died June 11, 1888 and is buried north of Ranger, Stephens County ,
In the early 1800's the family and children moved to Mississippi. In the mid 1800's William Nolen moved west to Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. After the Civil war, William Nolen and family moved further west into Stephens County Texas. William Nolen died in Stephens County.
Doctor Franklin Nolen moved his family back to St. Augustine County in east Texas.
William F. Nolen lived and worked around Dallas, Texas. His descendants are still living.
It was a large family and various branches moved all throughout the southern states but I believe many ended up in Louisiana and Texas. Currently the tree mostly includes the lineage of:
Absolom Nolen > William Nolen > Doctor Franklin Nolen > William Franklin Nolen > William Franklin Nolen Jr. > Patrick Franklin Nolen.
We would really like to hear from anyone who can fill in their branches from the past or present. We hope someone can help us with the origins of Absalom and Mary so we can connect our family back to their Irish origins. This family is participating in the Nolan Dna project. This family DNA is labeled N-27 at http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/n/nolan/
Thanks
Patrick F. Nolen
