About Purley Sherwoods and Relations
Please sign in to see more.
This tree started as a modest record of the descendants of Edward Sherwood from Purley on Thames plus inherited information about the ancestors of Amelia Purvis that led to King Edward 111 via John of Gaunt. However I quickly got the bug by researching other ancestors, in particular the Wardes, one of whom was my paternal grandmother. This led to many links to historical figures including kings of England, Scotland and France in addition to a significant number of noble families. It remains an ongoing project as relevant information comes to light on the internet.

Finally there is no guarantee that all the information in this tree is correct. I therefore will welcome any corrections, additions etc. that people can provide. Additionally if you wish me to add notes to any person or insert photos please contact me and I will arrange it. I hope you find it interesting and helpful and perhaps inspires you to carry out your own research!
