Why a POZORRUBIO FAMILY TREE?  

Our aim is to generate a family tree of EVERYONE who can trace their roots to POZORRUBIO, PANGASINAN, PHILIPPINES.

This is created BY, FOR and ABOUT POZORRUBIANS!

Not only will it be a genealogy chart that will trace our family lineage, it will show our heritage, our stories, our dreams, the fulfillment of those dreams, the foresight of a brighter future for the Pozorrubian generations to come.

It will be a source to reminisce those early beginnings we have and what we have accomplished so far.

It will show pioneering spirits of those who were before us and the challenges and obstacles they have undergone.

It will be a source of inspiration for the future generations.  

Aren’t we all proud to be a POZORRUBIAN? Whether a Pozorrubian who have ventured to foreign lands or choose to remain in our little town Pozorrubio, facts will show that we all have contributed to our town in many ways than one. Surely, you have the same Pozorubian heritage and love that bind us all together.

My heart soared with Pozorrubian pride when an article about the Pozorrubians hit the front page (not a headline) of the Wall Street Journal, the most well known finance daily magazine in the United States. (It was the initiative of the former Mayor of the town Noli Venezuela and his wife the late Corazon Gomez who toured foreign lands and connect with Pozorrubians abroad to encourage them to look back to where they came from and do what they can to help out). We thank those who did not hesitate to seek better pastures to be able to give to kins they left behind in Pozorrubio. Thanks to Lucreia Vinluan Dayrit who made sure this article could be reprinted in our Pozorrubio website to reminisce, encourage savor some international limelight of the Pozorrubian spirit.

My heart soared with Pozorrubian pride when the Quesadas made the many websites featuring our little town Pozorrubio in cyberspace and being able to reach out to so many POZORRUBIANS all over the world

My heart soared with Pozorrubian pride when the many different Pozorrubio organization in many parts of the world started getting together, networking with each other and then extend their helping hands for improvement and sharing the wealth to fellow Pozorrubians.

My heart soared with Pozorrubian pride when Pozorrubians after doing their stint of procuring wealth abroad opted to go back to Pozorrubio and spent the rest of their life in Pozorrubio.

MY heart soared with Pozorrubian pride for the medical missions of fellow Pozorrubian doing it for the townspeople of Pozorrubio,

My heart soared with Pozorrubian pride when our town POZORRUBIO through the leadership of the Chans (former Mayor Art and the present Mayor Emma) lead the progressive entry from 4th class to first class municipality. They both continue to reach out to  Pozorrubians abroad and through their initiatives, beauty contests for town fiestas  generated great revenue to build some infrastructures and improvements in our town.

 site as members and they could update info, upgrade info, upload pictures, etc.(need name and email). When you place your family lines in here, you can print the genealogy tree for your lineage and give them to your descendants.

 I am discovering as time goes by that this website POZORRUBIO FAMILY TREE ON THE WEB  may serve as facebook, twitter, friendster, etc, (social utility, networking) that  will connect all POZORRUBIANS WORLDWIDE. I am so excited. To have a listing of over a  thousand entries in less than a month is very encouraging.  RIGHT ON POZORRUBIANS!

 1. My humble beginnings.
 2. Where I am now and what I have accomplished so far.
 3. My plans for the future, for my family, my own good and/or the good of other Pozorrubians

                                We Are The Chosen

My feelings are that in each family there seems to be,               One who is called to find the ancestors.
               To put flesh to bone and make them live again.               To tell the family story and to feel that some how they know, and               approve.

To me, doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead,               Breathing life into all who have gone before.
               We are the story tellers of the tribe, all tribes have one.               We have been called as it were, by our genes.
  
               Those who have gone on before, cry out to us, tell our story!               So we do, in finding them we somehow find ourselves.               How many graves have I stood before and cried? I have lost count.               How many times have I told my Ancestors,
               You have a wonderful family, you would be proud of us.

How many time have I walked up to a grave,  
               And felt there was love there for me? I cannot say.               It goes beyond just documenting facts,
               It goes to who I am and why I do the things I do.

It goes to seeing a cemetery about to be lost to weeds and indifference,               And saying, I can't let this happen.It goes to doing something about it.               It goes to pride in what our Ancestors were able to accomplish.               How they contributed to what we are today.

It goes to respecting their hardships and losses.               Their never giving in, or giving up.
               Their resolution to go on and build a life for their family.               It goes to deep pride that they fought to make us a Nation.               It goes to a deep and immense understanding that they were doing for               us.

That we might be born who we are.
               That we might remember them, so we do.
               With love and caring and scribing each fact of their existence,               Because we are them, and they are us.
  
               So, as a scribe called, I tell the story of my family.               It is up to the one called in the next generation to answer the call,               And to take up their place in the long line of family storytellers.                That, is why I do genealogy and that is what call those,               Young and old,to step up and put flesh to bone.
