About Randles & Cable Family
Please sign in to see more.
The Randles family, while well traveled, has been traced back to Virginia. Branches thereof go to the Clack family, also from Virginia, and the Rogers family. All of the above have ancestors that immigrated to the US in the 1700's, primarily from England. A notable ancestor of this family is Revolutionary soldier Lt. Spencer Clack, of Sevier County, Tennessee. He was one of the five delegates which drafted and signed Tennessee’s first constitution. Other branches of this family tree go back to France.

The Cable family is largely resident in Pennsylvania, having immigrated there from England, with more recent branches coming from areas in and around Germany. The Callaghan’s, Mongan’s, & Foley’s emigrated from Ireland to New Hampshire, in the late 1800s, along with most of their siblings. Most of their descendants still live in New Hampshire and surrounding areas. One descendant of this line is United States Navy four-star Admiral Sylvester Foley.

I am not a very good writer so most of the stories on this site were contributed by other people as noted.

I am new to ancestry research and would very much like to thank all those that have provided me with much of my information and those that are helping me learn the ropes. Special thanks to Beverly Morris who provided me with the cable family history & Carol Johnston who provided me with the Spencer family history.

As with all people I do make mistakes and hope if you see any or have any additional information you will contact me.

 CAPITALIZATION NOTE:

If the FIRST name is in capitals that person is a direct ancestor of my children.

If the LAST name is in capitals I have found documentation to verify that persons name, date of birth, date of death, marriage if any and (if no longer living) Find-a-grave memorial. This is a work in progress. I just started this convention and have nearly 800 names to go through.

Thank you,

(~.~) Heather

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
