The Randles family, while well traveled, has been traced back to Virginia.  Branches thereof go to  the Clack family, also from Virginia, and the Rogers family. All of the above have ancestors that  immigrated to the US in the 1700's, primarily from England.  A notable ancestor of this family is  Revolutionary soldier Lt. Spencer Clack, of Sevier County, Tennessee.   He was one of the five  delegates which drafted and signed Tennessee’s first constitution.  Other branches of this family  tree go back to France.

The Cable family is largely resident in Pennsylvania, having immigrated there from England, with  more recent branches coming from areas in and around Germany.  The Callaghan’s, Mongan’s, & Foley’s  emigrated from Ireland to New Hampshire, in the late 1800s, along with most of their siblings.   Most of their descendants still live in New Hampshire and surrounding areas.  One descendant of  this line is United States Navy four-star Admiral Sylvester Foley.
