About William Snider and Related Families
Please sign in to see more. This website has been created for the use and enjoyment of people who are interested in the ancestry of Robert and Gwen (Smith) Snyder, of Midland, Michigan. It contains a database of information on hundreds of persons whose genealogical data has been researched since 1984, when we first began this interesting hobby.
Our family history includes French royal and titled lines, as well as people who settled in Plymouth Colony in the very earliest years of its existence, down through United Empire Loyalists who were deported to Canada after the American Revolution.
It includes folks who suffered greatly on the frontier of the United States during the `growing up` years. Some of our ancestors were killed in the French and Indian wars of early eighteenth century America. Others fought in the American Revolution (on both sides of the battle lines. We have Veterans of every war fought by America (with the possible exception of Iraq, for which we have no present documentation).
The pictures on the left is of Nancy (COVELL) SNIDER, (1812-1910) spouse of William Snider, for whom this site is named. She was identified by her grandson, Omer Snyder, from a picture now in the possession of Bob Snyder, administrator of this site. The second picture is of Henry Humphrey Snider, Nancy's son, b. 1851, d. 1905. The third picture is of Omer Howard Snyder, Henry's son (1892-1982).
