This is a LAVERTY and ROBINSON Family History site to help us all discover ,be entertained by and  learn about our ancestors.For many generations of the ancestors on both trees lived in County  Antrim. Homes in Ahoghill , Ballymena , Belfast , Broughshane , Coleraine ,Craigs , Cullybackey ,  Drumrankin , Larne , Loan ,Portglenone , were just a few of the places that the people of this site  were born, schooled,married, raised large families ,  worked, lived and died.

All persons with names on this site , through blood or relationships are a part of this History . Not just Northern Ireland as The Steele Family were from England and many families moved to and from  Scotland

......We start with ancestors and descendants of Samuel Laverty born April 1st 1865 (died June 30th  1957) County Antrim, Northern Ireland ( Samuel was son of Arthur Laverty and grandson of Daniel  Laverty )and Mary Steele Laverty born September 30th 1867 (died June 14th 1946)County Antrim ,  Northern Ireland.( Mary was the daughter of Edward Steele and Mary Jane (Mally) McMaster and  granddaughter of Robert Steele and Mary Jane McCullough).
     Samuel Laverty and Mary Steele were married at AHOGHILL Parish December 5th 1890      
     Samuel Laverty and Mary Steele had 12 children- Mary Laverty Rigby , Elizabeth  Laverty McFall, Agnes Laverty Offord/Welford, Arthur Laverty, Alexander Laverty, Samuel Laverty (  died at age 4 of deficiency disease ),Edward Laverty ( died at age 2 of pneumonia ),Maggie  (Margaret) Laverty Martin/Tate, Robert Laverty ( died of brain injury as a result of nearly drowning  at age 3),James Laverty ( died at birth..twin of Jane ), Jane ( Jean) Laverty  McIlhagga ,Evelyn ( Eveline) Laverty Robinson.

......Samuel Robinson born in 1892 ( died June 11,1965 ) son of John Robinson ( John was the son of  William Robinson )and Elizabeth Dempsey ( Elizabeth was the daughter of John Dempsey).  Margaret  Jane Baird born March 21st 1872 ( died  January 26th 1962) the daughter of Nancy McCloy and William  Mayberry ( a neighbour), her husband was Thomas Baird. Samuel and Margaret Jane were Married  December 24th 1912 in Ballymena.

Sam and Margaret Jane  had 3 children that lived : Elizabeth Robinson Bamber and twins Sarah (  Sadie) Robinson McKay and David Robinson. The other children died young

The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
