About The Hawkins Family Tree
My name is Georgina Jackson and I started this Website in 2004 and have found many family and made quite a few friends. I have been able to find lots of Family Photos of Family I had never seen before, I do think that all of the
family have found this very interesting. It is very hard work but feel that it will be very worthwhile in the end sharing my recent wonderful journey into my ancestry.

I am dedicating this to my children and grand children so that they will know more about their roots. This is because I knew very little about the Hawkins family other than my father, George Hawkins, came to Nottingham before I was born. He married my mother Bessie Pollard in 1937. They had four Daughters - myself, Georgina, Patricia, Valerie Jean and Angeline. They also had an only son, Peter who sadly died when he was a few months old.

We lived at 6 Bastion Street Radford Nottingham. We attended the Forster Street School Juniors and then Radford Blvd Secondary School. Upon leaving School I went to work at Vanns Hosiery Factory on Garden Street in Radford. I met John Stuart Jackson in 1958 and we Married in St Peters Church Radford April the 2nd 1960. We have three children - Lawrence, Andrew and Deborah.

MY BELOVED SISTER, VALERIE GRIFFITHS (NEE HAWKINS) DIED SUDDENLY October 3rd 2004 Dearly loved wife of John Griffiths, and Mother of Ian, John, Anthony, and Neil. Valerie was a very special person, always thinking of others - 'Always making friends wherever she went' - Stuart. She will be so sadly missed by us all. Our deepest sorrow for husband John and family - Georgina, Stuart and family - Angeline, Lawrence, and family - Patricia and family. Good Night and God Bless, my Angel sister with Love Georgina xxx

With sadness, Angeline HALLAM, beloved sister of Patricia, Georgina and Valerie passed away peacefully on the 5th April 2019, aged 74 years. She is missed by all.

With great sadness we also announce the passing of John Stuart Jackson on the 16th April 2023. Childhood sweetheart of Georgina, father to Lawrence, Andrew and Debbie. Grandfather and recently, great grandfather to Ruby Jackson and Elsie Georgina Jackson.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
