About Hainsworth - Rootes 'The tree grows'
Hi there,

Please note that this is but Part 2 and Part 1 can be found at;

http://www.tribalpages.com/tribes?userid=shtbag&x=11&y=10

For good or ill, this is the HAINSWORTH / ROOTES family, tribe, clan, pack - whatever you may deem appropriate.

The ROOTES line is primarily centred around the CAMDEN and Pt Stephens areas of early NSW.

 The HAINSWORTH line appears to commence around Albury / Wodonga with my grandparents but with my father being born in GRENFELL NSW. Assistance is NOT readily forthcoming from that side of the family but I shall perservere nontheless. It would now appear that the name Hainsworth did in fact change from Ainsworth with my great grandfather, evidence to this is mounting but the reason is ?????.

It should be noted that some names appear to be interchangeable either by design or by clerical error, i.e. Simmonds / Simmons; Hainsworth / Ainsworth; Vipen / Vipon etc etc. Also names prefixed by Mc or Mac also appear to be interchangeable. Please check various possible spellings when searching the database.

Where a town or city in NSW is shown as the 'Place of birth', it may in fact be the place where the birth was registered, I have gleened some information from the NSW, Registrar of Birth, Deaths & Marriages and where this has been done, I have the regsitration details in the notes to the person.

This family tree is in constant flux and is being updated almost weekly at the moment, so please feel free to check again at some later date. I have have gathered a good deal of information relating to the ships which transported my ancestors etc to these beautiful Australian shores, be it as convicts, free- persons, sponsored or paying their own passage.

 I would be only too happy to hear from anyone who may be related, no matter how distant the relationship may be, either to renew family links or to just share information. Any information etc I may be able to provide is given freely and happily.

Our belief is that the human psyche is not intended to remain solitary, we are a social being and families are most important in our lives.

Well, enough drivel from me for now - hope the information contained herein may be of interest.

Would you please sign my guestbook and leave your comments, if for no other reason than to simply say 'gday'.

 Ron
