This website is a work in progress detailing the descendants and ancestors of Stanley Kucharski and Anna Kalita. These Polish immigrants ventured from their home in Galicia which was part of Austria-Hungary at the time and settled in Michigan in 1911. See the Polish history useful link below as well as the "Stories" section under the PEOPLE Tab at the top of this site for information about Galicia. There are instructions below for getting around the website, it may take some getting used to but it is easy to use to find the descendants and ancestors of any relative as well as to add stories and pictures. Little is known about Stanley and Anna's ancestors but as more Catholic church records in Poland become available more information can be added to the tree.
Stanley and Anna had four daughters, the eldest married into the Klimek family and their next eldest into the Rokosz family, both married Polish boys who were also from Austria-Hungary. The third daughter became a Felician Sister and their youngest daughter, Eleanor, also married a Polish boy, Ted Konarski, but did not have children. From their two daughters, the descendants on this website total 33 great grandchildren, 56 great great grandchildren, and at this time four great-great-great grandchildren.
Use the descendant tab under "VIEW" and put in names and select "Descendants" or "Reports" for the relative you wish to view.
Don't hesitate to contact me with errors or omissions and please add your photos, stories, letters, historical info on Poland, Detroit, etc. I need your help to learn about our ancestors and document the family history for future generations. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Warm Regards,
K
