Hello Family,
Welcome to the Mathis and Meeks Family Website.
This is the ancestors and descendants of both my husband (Robert Joe Meeks, Jr.) and myself (Carolyn Delores Mathis), family tree as well as the branches and other relatives extended from both our families. It is here for your convenience to show you from "Whence We Came," along with current events in our family.
I love a rose garden...so I am making this family tree a part of my rose garden so that my children's children will read it, enjoy it and learn from it. I have a lovely rose garden with so many fragrant petals, but with any rose, you have thorny branches that needs pruning on occasion...the same goes with families. So, with my rose garden you should come a see the many roses I have found. I love finding new family members for my beautiful rose garden you will need to check it out! Genealogical research has been my hobby for these past 50+ years now and I have loved each minute of my time working on my family history (along with a few other family members some living and some deceased) we have worked endless to bring this website to you guys. This is a very addictive, costly hobby, and one you never really finish. Just know that a lot of time and love have been put into this ever-ending project. So that you could have a little part of your history back. I am updating this site as often as possible, so please check back as I will be adding more names, photos, birth records, death records and marriage records as they become available to me. Our goal is to provide a useful place where our families (mainly our children) can learn about others within their family. A place for us to keep in touch even if we're miles apart. I'm hoping to do this with our family website, which hopefully will include a photo gallery, family calendar, journal, address book and more online tools.
One's life become so busy for everybody and it's hard to take the time to write, call or even send a photo of our growing family. By having our own family website, I'm hoping it will make life a little easier and fun as well.
