About BrownBlackleyCopeCanada
Please sign in to see more.
The Browns, the Blackleys (formerly Copes) all came to Canada from England. The Browns were led by Albert Edward Brown and Clara Ellen Clews in 1906 shortly after their marriage in Biddulph Moor, Staffordshire, England. Clara and Albert settled in Northern Ontario around 1907 and it is from there that the Brown's Canada line began. The Blackley Canada line began with Hubert Cope coming to Canada and in one of the mysteries of the family, changed his name to Albert Blackley while serving in the Canadian Army prior to the first World War. (Prior to the Canadian Army, both Albert Brown and Hubert Cope served in the English Army and were in South Africa and India.) Albert Blackley married Netta Wallace, daughter of Laura Tupper and William Henry Wallace. The Tupper family came to North America in the mid-1600's settling first in Plymouth, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Two Tupper brothers, Eliakim and Elias removed themselves and their rather large families to Nova Scotia, Canada and began the Tupper dynasty in Canada.

The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
