About MY FAMILY TREE up & down & sideways
I am Delia Holman and I got started with Genealogy through my husband who was a member of the local genealogical society and had been working on his own family. I had a half brother (Geoffrey HOLMAN) I wanted to find since I was a very young teenager and I started there., I knew he'd gone to Australia as a young boy with his mother, but how I'd find him I had no idea. But I did!

I traced my maternal grandmother's CROSS line through Scotland and England.

And all the time I was working on these other projects I was also trying to find my Mother's biological family (GOUGH & WILSON) in England. I did finally find that elusive family.

Prior to that, a living 2nd cousin, Joy (Buckle) Stewart in Australia turned up, descended from my paternal Grandfather's HOLMAN family.

Also another living cousin, Vickie Grant, was found in Toronto, descended from my paternal Grandmother's Scottish (ROSE) family.

Thanks go to both my daughters-in-law, my sister-in-law and their families for their family contributions.

This is a work in progress; it will never be finished and any of my guests invited to this site are ENCOURAGED to send new additions to their families to me, as well as any stories they may have about their families and ancestors. If you should find an error please let me know and I will make the correction. THANK YOU!

This site contains no social security numbers, banking numbers, current addresses, credit card numbers or passwords. Most of the information was gleaned from publicly accessible information such as birth, marriage, death & census records that are already on line in many other places and put in order by dates and by family names.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
