This website was started by me when my wife Teresa encouraged me to research her family history  hence the name "the Thorne Family". It has , of course, now grown hugely. As many of the people on  this site are of indigenous ancestry, and thus their details not well documented, there are gaps in  the story. If you have any information to add, or mistakes to correct, please get in touch with me.

I am especially interested in details about people's lives and getting a feel for what their lives  were like.

Note:  this site is restricted to family members only. I can only add you if you are already listed on the site, so if asking permission to be a member, I will need to know where you fit in. I will need your parents' details and if possible grandparents.
