*** Through DNA - We Have a New Relative! ***
About The Rink/Klaugh Family Tree
I have been researching my family lines since the late 1990's. What got me started was trying to find confirmation of my maternal grandmothers line, the Maryland Lee's, to the Virginia Lee's. So far I haven't found the link. I did find a scandel in the mid 1800's of a divorce between my 3rd Great Grandparents, Caroline (Duncan) and Stephen Lewis Lee!

I then went into my maternal Grandfather's Wilson line in Maine. I found a few Union soldiers serving in the Civil War and many pictures - a lot of unknowns!

My search moved me into my Rink line but I have reached a brick wall with Michael Rink. I found a clue from a Facebook friend (relative?) that Michael and Peter Rink emigrated from Wieselburg (Austria). I hope to have my brother follow up on that clue! I did find my oldest photograph of the Reding Family in Luxembourg, my 6th Great Grandparents on my Kraus line. >>UPDATE July 2017:
Michael and Peter Rink emigrated from Moutfort, Canton de Luxembourg, Luxembourg. Their parents were Mathias and Catherine Anna (Shermer) Rink and they had two sisters, Barbara and Anna!

In 2006 I married into the Klaugh family. What great fun it has been to add this line into my tree. Here I did find a link to the Virginia Lee's! Through the Klaugh's I've expanded into the Knappenberger's, Sawyer, Williams and many more.

My searches have led me all over the United States, Canada and Europe. I have searched off and on throughout the years - I truly enjoy history and genealogy. All my relatives have become alive in my mind; how they lived, what they've been through...I want to honor my ancestors, at least to keep them 'alive' in my mind and with this website.

>>UPDATE August 2017 - BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT: Through DNA, I have a new (half) aunt. It's been verified that my grandfather has another child, a daughter named Denise Lagross Bayles. Denise was born to Margaret (Marge) Lagross on June 7, 1955 in Harmony, Maine. Denise is married to Joseph. They live in Wilmington, Mass and have 4 children (my new half-1st cousins): Joey, Jennifer, Michael and Matthew. She also has 4 grandchildren. In fact, one her her grandson's was born on her birthday, too!
Her new half siblings and all her new nieces and nephews know, so we're sharing with everyone! Welcome to the family, Denise!

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
