John Willian J. Glaze is my GGF and was the oldest know Glaze in our Glaze Family. Update 2012 my GGGF is Abner Glaze  from Edgefield Sc. Update: Have found James Glaze my GGGGF in 1850 Edgefield, South Carolina Census, son's Thomas,  John, William, and Abner, the older brother was in Scott County in 1860. Possibly a brother of James  is Richard Glaze,10 to  15 years older than these brothers.  We know that John William's father was borned in Sc and Abner fought for the South in  "The War of Northern Agression " died in the Fairground Hospital #2 in Atlanta Ga from typhoid fever, buried in Oakland Cem  in downtown Atlanta Ga. John William is listed in the 1870 census as Glaise and is a 13 years old farm laborer, in Smith  County, Ms. He is by hiimself, no parents listed.(UPDATE found John's mother in 1870 Census she has remarried, her  name is Ellen Tullos.)  John William farmed and lived most of his life on his self sufficient  farm at Lemon, in Smith County,  Ms. Lived on the right side of the road just arount the Famous Lemon Curve on State Hwy 35, this part of the hwy. is no  longer part of hwy35. Believed in God, family, and one's duty as a citizen. He built a school, donated land for  Goodwater Baptist Church and Cemerty, supported the Church, local,state, and federal governments. Borned on AUG  30,1857, died on JAN 5,1932 in Lemon and was buried in the Goodwater Church Cementry. Married Nannie Nancy Bailey on  DEC 22, 1878.

The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
