About Naets
This family tree was drawn up for my children Sicco, Emiko and Isamu (Sam).

It started with earlier work done by Els Torremans-Naets who started her first searches in 1975, on the centenary of the birth of Jozef Naets in Olen.

She published a first version on paper in 1997 when her father (and my godfather) Frans Naets turned 90.

I have since been able to take a walk back in time by relying on three different sites:

- this one
 - publishing the same information on geneanet.org - which gave me access to the work of many others and sources in Flanders
 - and publishing the same information on ancestry.com as the Sekiguchi family tree which gave me access to many more sources in the United States, as well as in Flanders.

Please add or correct as you see fit, this is very much a work in progress.

The site works its way up through the names NAETS (also spelled NEUTS or NUYTS), SEKIGUCHI, CAMPENAERTS, KIYONO, VAN DEN BEMPT (at times VANDENBEMPT), en SCHEVERNELS).

Not all data are fully confirmed. At this stage I can only note that the long line from the youngest Naets to the earliest Nuyts is coherent.

*************************************************************

- deze website, de eerste;
 - geneanet.org waar ik dezelfde informatie publiceer, maar dat heeft me toegang gegeven    tot het werk van vele anderen en bronnen in Vlaanderen;

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
