About The Cummins Family Tree
Welcome to my family,

I have named this tree 'The Cummins Family Tree' simply because Cummins is my mother's maiden name. However I am open to
suggestions for another suitable title. I am hoping we will be able to pass the responsibility of administrator on as time goes on so
this tree keeps on growing from generation to generation. On my computer I have 4,512 people connected with our family directly
or by marriage. It will take me a few months to load it all up . Please note this tree is being built and updated when I have time. Please email me at violet_dargan@hotmail.com if any of the information appears to be wrong. Please accept my sincere apology and I will amend the information as soon as possible.

At this time I am not the oldest in this family but am old enough to be able to remember family connections talked about by my
parents from stories told to them by their parents uncles and aunties.

My aim is to collate what information family have given to me to present date and collect anything i can so that a comprehensive set
of oral history stories and data can be made available for a family reunion.

Last reunion was held in Hughenden at Christmas in 1974 due to the loss of my uncle John (akaJack) Cummins and my brother George Davis. I paid for that reunion and family came weeks before and left weeks after. At the
end of it my mum said our grieving was
over and we were in deep grieving all of 1974. In 2004 on my 50th birthday another family reunion was attempted however not all
members of all the lines coming down from Dinah attended. Some of my cousins went on a little drive down around different sites
and recorded a video of things they remembered. Hopefully I am able to share that one day. Now Ten years later on my 60th
birthday I am blessed as my brother and sons are footing the expenses to celebrate my birthday but to me it is a family reunion.

I have set up this family tree as during the party we will be able to get some good family photos and stories. This site offers a
download of a cd for a computer, printable fancy charts and reports that maybe of interest. My favourite part of the site is you are
able to record stories so if you have any let me know and I will load them up for you. Things that you think are not important will
become important and generations later will be only too glad you took the time to share.

Some family are actively involved in addressing Native Title. This is a good chance for our information to be in one place where
everyone can access it at anytime providing they send me their email so I can send them and invite. My email is:
violet_dargan@hotmail.com please contact me with any issues and I will do my best to address them.

Deepest respect to all our family who have passed as I load information to this site about you. I am sure you are looking on with
 great
interest especially my mother who loved sharing the facts of what was what and how to make something back in the day.

Lets make some memories too and share what we can
 Love Always
 Violet Ann Dargan nee Davis
 Great granddaughter of Dinah Mitchell.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
