"The measure of a person's character is not what they get from their ancestors but what they

"If you think your family is normal, then you probably aren't a genealogist." - Unknown
When I was growing up, I knew very, very little about the family. My mom passed away when I was only 2, so I knew almost nothing about that side of the family. My paternal grandparents raised me, but they also passed away when I was young (I was 14 years old when my grandfather passed away and 21 years old when my grandmother passed away). As a result, I never really got a chance to learn much about the family.
Ironically, I started to research the family tree (many, many years later) when my estranged
father passed away in 2001. It has been a long and slow journey (the scenic route), but there are now over 22,500 people on the tree! Some people will think that I have gone overboard with this.
I would tend to agree with them☺.
But family genealogy has become a passion that I truly enjoy. It is like a mystery novel that I am slowly unraveling. Because of my research, I have met many relatives that I never knew existed (including many of you). It is my hope that my journey will continue even after I am gone.
NOTE: This family tree is a work in progress. I will continue to update it every so
often. It currently contains only the basics (birth, marriage, death, and burial information).
In some cases, I might have a lot more information on a person. If you find anything that is
missing or that needs to be corrected, please let me know.
I pray that you will enjoy this website, that it will honor our ancestors, and that it will help to bring the family together.
Blessings.
