About Beverley's Family Tree

This page is the result of my research regarding my ancestors. It started with the WEEDONS, following on from many years of investigation by my father David and his cousin Beth in Western Australia of our convict ancestor John Weedon. The Weedons through marriage connect to the BRITTAINS, a very well known and numerous W.A. family, and the STOCKS, both being originally from Bedfordshire, and later to the LLOYDS of Birmingham. Having got so far with the Weedons, I broadened the net to include my maternal families, starting with the PATTERSONS, the WARRENS and the ELMERS.

The family has roots all over the world. Apart from branches of the family in Hertfordshire, Bedford, Hunts, the Birmingham area and East Lothian, Scotland, there have been intrepid twigs who have emigrated to Australia, New Zealand, the U.S.A. and India.

The family is also notable for its variety of religious beliefs. The Weedons originated in Non-Conformist circles but either by conversion or marriage I have also found Anglicans, Catholics and Mormons. I'm pleased to say that my ancestors were largely open minded and independent though there are no really famous or wealthy individuals among them.

This page is very much work in progress and will be updated regularly.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
