About The Wimberly Family
Welcome to the Wimberly (and related families) Website. This site contains the names that I have reason to believe are in my family tree. Please note: Genealogy is not an exact science and from time to time incorrect or incomplete information makes it's way into files. This is true for my collections as well. I feel fairly confident that the sources I have gathered my information from are accurate as far as I can tell. However, I found recently incorrect information about my immediate family on one genealogy site and when I contacted them, they informed me that there was nothing they could do about it. Your best bet, if possible is to go to original documents such as census records, birth and death records etc., of which some are available on line. Another good source is obituaries from newspapers - they will sometimes list next of kin and are of great help. If you can add to what I have, please see above: the "click here" will automatically send an e-mail to me, and please be sure to include your e-mail address so that I can contact you. If you find an error, please excuse me and let me know so that I can correct it.

And while you are here, please sign my guest book.

Thank you and have a blessed day!

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
