This tree chronicles the Johns and Ranalli branches of Regina's family tree, and the Yereshefsky/Young and Drucker branches of Perry's. The Yereshefskys, a tobacco farming family, came from Russian Belarussia by way of a one-decade stopover in Popovtsy, Russian Ukraine, landing in America in the 1910's. The Druckers and the Roths were mostly tailors who came at about that time from the same small town in Russian Poland, Hrubieschow; a majority of the Drucker family soon thereafter perished in the pogroms and later in the Holocaust, and only three managed to escape. Also at about the same time, the Ranallis came from the plains north of Rome and the Veneto, Italy as farm laborers, eventually specializing in growing wine grapes, who followed their local Italian priest first to New York City and later to Tontitown, Arkansas. The Johns, also mostly farmers, predated all of the other branches by about 300 years, emigrating from England and Wales and later Scotland, with the first landings in what would be Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1606, and their first birth in the New World recorded in 1616, with several family members coming over a few years later with John Winthrop; a beach in Maryland and a county in North Carolina have been named by or after members of Regina's mother's family tree.

This is an "hourglass" type of tree - I have started at the great-grandparent generation and tried to find and list all of their descendants, and then went backwards through their direct lineal ancestors to the extent possible. So many interesting human stories behind the names and dates - I tried to capture as many as possible in the three years I have worked on this before publishing. I would like to thank, firstly, cousin Brian Scholl, whose own genealogy work on the Scholl side of our family both motivated me to research the rest of the family (and sent me down a deep rabbit hole with Regina's), and also overlaps and fits into this tree via the Yereshefsky-Scholl family.
