I've noticed that there has recently been a slight upgrade to the search system on TP. It's nice that the search letters are now highlighted, but neither the surname or given names are in alphabetical order anymore.

For example, if you put in the first few letters of someone's surname, they get mixed into the list of given names (Jones & Johns etc.). Also, the search is no longer in alphabetical order (i.e. Joseph lists before John sometimes). This is VERY irritating. If I enter a search for the surname Jones, say, with first initial of the given name as J, my order comes up John, Jesse, Joseph, Jonathan, Janie, Joseph, Joseph, James, Jennifer, John, Joshua, J., Jeffrey etc.

Please just make it work like it did before the highlighting of search letters was added. It's too easy to miss someone unless you completely type in all names. Names MUST be alphabetical when searching. Sort by last name, then first name, then dates.

We are fixing this.

Please don't let this slip off your "to fix" list, TP, as the problem negatively affects me.

Reminder - it's been a couple of months and is not fixed yet. Seems like a quick fix, isn't it?
