How do I switch spouses around. There is nothing under heading in help. I found spouse number one after I added spouse number two. Help please.

From what I can tell the names of spouses appear in order of marriage date or, in the case of no date, order of entry.

If you have an additional spouse, just enter it as an additional spouse.

If you wish, you can make a notation of who was the first spouse by using the 'edit' command.

The marriage date does not correct this problem. I just found out today that a person on my tree had a first wife before the one I already knew about. I have all the info on this "new" marriage, have entered it, but she still sits there is second position.

Hi Cathy,

I went in to edit and scrolled down to the marriage details. I clicked on the right of spouse and put the correct number there. I was told to do this on here and it worked.

Cheers Val

Thank you! That's what I was looking for. Knew I had seen it before but forgot where. Much appreciated!

There is provision to change the order of spouses/partners. Can be done easily. In edit for the person concerned, look down at bottom of page under "Family". You will see headings "spouse/partner". It shows #1 and #2 etc. Click there and change the order to suit.

Hello Alan, thank you for the information. I will do that. I have it in various families where I have found other spouses like that. Val
