I have the same problem - twice.

I entered the initial wedding details to keep the children of that union visually legitimate and used the individuals' Note Boxes to record the reunion.

Hi David exactly the same as any other, as this is now another Marriage.

As far as the PC is concerned it is ONLY TEXT, but you will then see it in the correct TIME FRAME.

The system will not allow me to add a repeat marriage using "exiting person" which is what I want to do, with the later marriage date, showing on both individuals.

Of course I could create a new identical person for the purpose, but that might cause confusion in search results, and elsewhere. This is an inelegant solution. (Certainly I would not add parents to the duplicate person, as that family would then have twins of the same name!).

"exiting person" should read, of course, "existing person" :-)

Of course you would not want to do that addition, to cause confusion, but if you add the SAME NAME and mention in the NOTES , surely that would be clarifcation.

Underneath the PERSONS Name

you would see the Marital status as it was and as it is.

Other than yourself, anyone seeing the NAME twice , surely would have a deeper look.

If it is just your concern, you would know--- IS IT?

This database has nothing to do with me or my family, but is accessed by any person who might be interested in my research, particularly reports, of the pioneers of South Australia.

As I said, the work around is inelegant. How do other software providers handle the issue, I wonder?

Hi david this is not a work around.

As the facility is not there that you need, obviously you have to keep your TREE up to date, without confusion.

By doing what I have suggested does just this,so ANYONE can see your tree correctly.

Otherwise how long will you have to wait for TP to modify their program to suit.
