No one has answered me on this. The only way I can hear my music is by viewing my site on IE.

Hi Pat,

Is the problem with YouTube ?. If so Google "Music not playing with Microsoft Edge". You may get some clues from the numerous responses.

I changed to Edge last year. Most of my YouTube Videos play but a few do not. I have not investigated why not, as yet. Music I had from sites like Don Edrington do not play in Edge. I have not worried about that.

You will see from Google and the related link that many have had or are having sound problems with Edge.

I hope you can find the answer.

Pat,

Old age is affecting my memory. I have been trying to think back to when I installed Edge about 12 months ago. You will probably be aware that YouTube has (or is) dropped Flash Player for HTML5. I can recall installing YouTube HTML5 Player for Chrome. In Chrome I can click top right and use HTML5 or Adobe Flash Player. In my Chrome, videos only play with HTML5 activated.

In Edge I went to advance settings and could turn off or on "Adobe flash player". Made no difference, for YouTube, either way in Edge. Whether or not downloading the YouTube Flash Player has also made a difference for Edge, I cannot say.

The only other thing I have done with YouTube and Edge is to download the extension enhancer for YouTube. If you go to Edge advance settings and click on Extensions you can bring this up. I have not looked at changing any of the settings that show for the enhancer. Just left it as downloaded.

Hi Pat,

I found a Don E piece of music I had put in my tree some time ago. Edge and Chrome have blocked the content. Say its from an unauthorised source. Not secure or whatever. You can authorise playing of that piece of music. In Edge click on the icon just to the left of the favourites star.

Trouble is Don E is not an encrypted site. I have been trying to find a way of adding it to a list of permissions I have in my Microsoft Edge. There is a lengthy approved list of other sites already in my setting. I can delete any of these but so far I cannot find a way or any Microsoft instruction on how to add another. If anyone has the answer both Pat and I would like the information. Thanks.

Experimenting further I have now found out how to add the Don E site to my list of permissions in Edge. However, even with this given the OK, the individual piece of music did not show or turn on automatically with the photo to which it was attached. I had to resort to clicking the icon to the left of the favourites button for the music to play. That's my lot with this subject however it has been interesting to look at the Edge problem. Personally I like Microsoft Edge and I use it as my main Browser. However in saying that I still use Chrome, IE Firefox for a few things.
