I have no idea how or why but have several duplicate relatives in my tree - I would like to eliminate any duplicates but don't know how -- any suggestions or advice? THanks. Malinda

Just had a look at one of the most popular names in your tree and almost all are duplicated. Happened to me on one occasion when I download a replacement Gedcom to one of my free sites. I deleted all names and downloaded the Gedcom a second time and all was fine.

I hope that you have your Gedcom saved in your computer. If so, try that. (I hope they are not duplicated in your Gedcom.)

Ya KNOW, by george I think you got it. I bet that's what I did but the bad news is that My puter lost all memory and photos/files too during a servicing. The possible good news is that I have a lot over on ancestry.com and may be able to get it and redo.

I'll take your advice and in meantime re-download a new Gcom from ancestry and hope for the best.
