TP get you act together or you can say good-bye to my subscription when it comes time.
Thanks for posting it because it has been helpful. Ted
I am writing to you here, because I am getting no response when I add a New Query.
Please be Truthful and say in the Message we are given when we have added a Query to you on this Page....... be truthful and say that our Message will be dealt with IN A FEW DAYS OR WEEKS, rather than use that message saying you will deal with it "in a few hours".
I am still waiting.
I replied a few days ago to your brief response to the Technical Problems we are experiencing on a New Tree that we have PAID For - a Tree that we Cannot Add Names To.
See 2 Messages: Re:IMPORTANT- Cannot build on PAID site
- That is The Rumble DNA Tree
I have also replied to a Message on the Page by Ian Marr - this one - Re:Spicing up Pages ........and my Reply to Ian Marr & Les has just been sitting there for hours & hours and now for days...
There is absolutely no excuse to delay passing on Messages.... that is all you have to do with that one - it is a Message for Ian Marr & Les!
PLUS I have just posted another Message, because the Relationship Tool is not working on my other Main TP Tree - it worked this morning when I used it... but now it has disappeared... I added a Screen Shot showing the issue. Please sort it out asap. That is on this one:
The RUMBLE'S, HUTCHINS, HOSKINS, POTTER & CHURCHILL Families
Many of us are Pensioners here... our days are numbered - I have a terminal illness and I want to be able to do all I can to build my Tree for my Family during the times that I am well enough to - often I have breathing problems and cannot focus or even sit at the computer... and it is so damn frustrating to encounter these issues during those precious times I am well enough to build my Tree.
So please do all you can to quickly put these problems right and make our Genealogy Hobby a pleasure to do, rather than frustrate it by charging us for Unworkable websites and your shoddy absent Support Team system.
I have wasted so much time coming back here again & again to see if you have responded to any of the issues I have raised - so much time-wasting...
Genealogy:
SO MANY ANCESTORS.....................SO LITTLE TIME!
Please Hurry Up and sort out these issues that are beyond our ability to correct - Only you can correct the technical problems on our Trees.
I am shocked that you have the audacity to question my complaint about the very slow response of Tribal Pages - given that when I checked your link you do not seem to have a Tree at all... here's where your Name link goes...
tpNoTree!
https://www.tribalpages.com/tpNoTree.html
I dug deeper and found this site with just ONE Name
https://tanjaygenealogi.tribalpages.com/
& that Danny Boy took me to:
https://c4creditsolutions.tribalpages.com
which is headed up with a web address...
https://c4credit.net
My complaint to Tribal Pages was genuine & the concerns they need to address in a more timely fashion are:
1. Post our responses to other Members on this forum
2. Repair our websites that do not work at all
3. Answer our queries regarding missing information & website features.
Members cannot fix websites or give answers to any of these queries.
I am a fully Paid Up Member on both of the websites I have problems with - I have PAID for Deluxe Websites and the questions I asked were neither stupid or simple.
The one Linked here has only One Name... not by choice or design... but through the fact that it is impossible to build on it - I have had Trees here on TP since 2004 - so this is not through lack of knowledge of how to build... the SITE IS FAULTY - and ONLY Tribal Pages Technical Team can sort it out. For example - Look at Names - there are now 4, but only ONE is accessible! Where are the others?
See here:
https://www.tribalpages.com/tribe/browse?pid=-1&userid=rumblewoodford&rand=778774788&view=0&subview=-1
Tribal Pages should not be charging for something that is not fit for purpose. Most of the features lead to completely Blank webpages.
Please TP sort out this website attached that has been Renamed The Rumble DNA Website or Refund My DELUXE Subscription
ASAP
Thank you to Ian Marr for your support & understanding.

Sorry if my rejoinder upset you, but believe me, I wasn't singling you out particularly. I was speaking in a generalization about many of those who complain (and I admit, rightfully so in many cases) about TP, and I was only trying to show the other side of the coin, so to speak.
And I do have a tree, since 2011 with 37,008 individuals listed, and 2993 unique visitors.

Hope this link works. My previous postings somehow don't automatically show it. I believe I know the answer, and that's because my site's name is too long. Many a time, my yearly subscription payments don't get logged or acknowledged for that reason.
I do have some complaints about TP, too, but overall, I think they are doing a fair job for the money. To me, they're the easiest to use, as compared to Geni, or many of the other genealogical sites.
I agree with Les, that the Forum should be "Open" (actually re-opened to all), and TP should just be more vigilant and responsive.
Genealogy is but one of my internet hobbies, and I maintain other blogs, including being a moderator for a number of YahooGroups emailers. It isn't easy. If interested, the first Useful Link on my site will show more details about selected family trees, and the Home button is a portal to other blogs.
Cheers.
Danny

You made some good points and, under the circumstances, I don't think some of the comments made in the replies, if directed at you, were warranted. However I can understand Mary's frustration that there are seldom any rumblings in Tribalpages. It would be nice if they showed some activity on more frequent occasions.
Like you say, a forum is for public debate. I must say that over the years I cannot recall, off hand, where I did not receive a reasonably quick reply if I sent a message direct to them rather than use forum. Perhaps members should try this more often. Particularly where they have a problem that concerns a matter that cannot be resolved by other members. In case other members have not noticed this, in edit, under "help" or by going to "my account" there are links to send a message direct.
One other thing I would like to mention is that there are some differences that show up in the editing of ones site depending on which search engine is used. I will not go into that here but it is worth checking this out before blaming Tribalpages.
Finally I do suggest that members give more consideration as to the subject of their enquiry or complaint. I think that if it is a matter between yourself and Tribalpages, you may find it better to send the message direct to Tribalpages, rather than through forum. You may be surprised how quickly they answer. If they don't then my advice is to consider using another family history site. Problem there is, I don't know of one that allows us to do as much ourselves as Tribalpages does and at such a low cost. Free up to US$48. Not bad for what one gets and can do with their own site. You mention this point in your message.
Best wishes,
Alan
Thanks for your response.
Please note that I have sent messages privately to Tribal Pages by those routes you have mentioned.
I will do so again, but the reason I have gone public here is that after responding to a message from Tribal Pages to Pay for my website - I did so and have not been able to use it since paying!
Also note that I have several other TP websites where I have never experienced these technical problems that I have encountered with the one linked below and I have been a paid up Member of Tribal Pages since 2004.
Next issue you raise is the search engine - I use Chrome and I know it can cause issues with eg. Music - however I do not want to use IE or any of the others, because they slow up my PC.
Again on the money issue, $48 may not seem much to some people, but if it is being paid for a Family Tree website that you cannot build on and is not fit for purpose - then it is a waste of money and deserves a refund.
You will see the problem I am encountering if you try clicking on any name on the website attached... and I have not tried to use html to alter the site in any way... there is a problem that can only be solved by technical assistance from the Tribal Pages Support person/team.
Thanks for your thoughtful reply Alan.
Kind regards,
Linda
Thanks for your kind and insightful reply.
Let me also use this space to thank Linda for her rejoinder.

Thanks for responding - your reply is noted.
I am sorry - I thought you were targeting my message of complaint to TP on this thread... a complaint that is still awaiting an answer from the TP Technical Team.
Of course, when our websites work properly, Tribal Pages is excellent value for money - and that is the case on several others I have built for my self & others - and am still building.
However, when technical problems beyond our control, prevent building a website - as is happening in the one attached to this message (- just click on any name and you will see the issue -), then the website is not fit for purpose... and I don't see why I should pay for something that I still cannot use after many unanswered complaints. I & my son, who is a Microsoft Professional, have spent hours trying to use the particular TP website attached to this message, I have also wasted so much time explaining in detail the different technical problems that have occurred... but no help has been forthcoming from Tribal Pages Support at all.
For that reason I am still asking for the website to be fixed - or for a refund of my annual Deluxe subscription for that website.
This way we can converse with each other immediately.
The trouble before was that you took so long to take theses messages off.
SORRY TRIBAL PAGES but it is completely your fault in days gone by
As LINDA has pointed out and my NEAR DEATH a few weeks ago. TIME IS PRECIOUS
