TP does not answer my messages to them

I have sent several messages to TP. 1 regarding the fact that I seem to have lost the memory for addresses and surnames. I continually have to type each one out even when I have a large family to enter with the same surname and address.2 I have repeatedly tried to send an invitation to a cousin. I got the email address wrong the first time but since then I have corrected it but he is still not receiving the invitations. I get no reply whatsoever from TP.

Does anyone else feel totally ignored by Tribal Pages?

Can you tell me then, Les, Why I cannot get my issues sorted out? Are you from the Forum or from the technical people at TP? There is no point in reiterating Yea we do if the issues are not resolved. Sheila

Thanks Les, sorry I got the wrong end of the stick. Have received another reply from a lady who has sent them 7 emails and they have not replied. I am going to cancel my automatic subscription to them just in case they take it and I cannot get it back. What is happening to them? I loved this site for so many years. Why are they treating us like this now? S

They dont reply to cancelling either Sheila..I tried that also by emailing them well before my subscription was due, they ignored me and took my payment.

They won't reply to my emails either. I have my sites on a flash drive I bought from them and I won't be renewing my sites. I will delete them before my renewal.

Hi Chris...I deleted mine also before the renewal was due and had also informed them I did not want to renew but they still took my subscription through Paypal.

I informed Paypal of what they had done and they got back to me to tell me that TP had set up my account to automatic and therefore that was the reason they took the payment from me and that I would have to deal with it myself..

To this day they have not replied to my 11 emails I have now sent them.

So please check if your subscription is set to automatic and change it before they take your money too

In a fortnight's time it will have been 3 months since TP answered a question on the technical page - and that message was an apology.

What is going on with them. Ted? They do not appear to be sending my invitations either. I think I will take my tree elsewhere when they next want me to renew!

Here's a comparison - MacKiev, who have taken over development & sales Of Family Tree Maker have a 24/7 Chat line. You can not only contact them, but you can chat with an "expert" in order to solve any problem you have - any time. Now, I know that would be very expensive, and perhaps TP couldn't afford that level of support but I'm sure that they could support more than they currently provide.

Example of both ends of the spectrum of support when you compare the two.

Thank you, Ian. Glad I am not a voice calling in the wilderness! I still have had no feedback from them of any value. What does one do to make the aware of you and your problems? I have always loved this site but I am really diaappointed in them at the moment. Sheila

This year before my membership was due I wrote to them to say I would not be renewing due to ill health..send another email..still no answer

When membership was due I got an email to click the link to renew which I did not do..Found out 2 days later they had automatically had taken my money and got in touch with Paypal to try get my money refunded and they could do nothing as it was an automatic payment !!.Have now sent them a total of 7 emails to have my money refunded and not once have they repllied..

Totally disgusted with them that they are ignoring all my mail..I will never recommend them to anyone like I have done in the past..

What is happening to this company? It states very clearly that they will NOT automatically take the money from your account.

Yes I did Sheila and no response at all..and to be honest dont expect one now after all this time but they certainly wont get another payment from me as Paypal have now been informed and they have set my account to not take another automatic payment from them.

Sad really that it was one of he best websites available but their lack of support is a disgrace to members who have been with them for years.

Thanks for your comments, Doreen & Sheila. I see you have to cancel your subscription from Paypal's site (in your "settings" >> "[automatic] payments" page.

There is no option to do it from Tribalpages website - and no, they never responded to my urgent questions, either - or my requests to cancel. You helped me finally figure it out!
