The About Section

We have made a change to how the About section in your Homepage works. We have been careful to make sure the impact is minimal if not none. But the payoff is worth it.

Previously, the wrapping of the lines in the About section was "hard". This means that there is a "new-line" encoded after each line of text. The text does not wrap. If you added or removed a few words in a line you will need to readjust all other lines in the paragraph manually.

In the updated About section the wrapping is "soft". This means that the "newline" is encoded after each paragraph (or if you manually insert blank lines by hitting the Enter button). This is how most text editors work (Word/Email etc). The advantage of this is that you can edit a paragraph and the system will automatically realign the remaining porting of the paragraph.

Another benefit is that if the width of the About section were to change, the text lines will wrap automatically.

Most of you will not see any changes when you view your About section in the Homepage. However, when you edit the About section, you will notice that the sections are now paragraphs.

We have backed up all the about sections, so it anything goes wrong we can revert to the previous version.

Thank you

No complaints yet!

The "soft" wrap update makes the about section more flexible with changing font size and section widths. No more issues with the last word on each line spilling over to it's own line.

My home page is now OK and editing works in all the search engines I have tried. Chrome, Edge, IE and Firefox. Overall the site has been improved.
