When you are adding an individual to another individual who is already in the tree, the process goes something like this.
Click son, then "If person already exists - click here", then Select which will give you the Finder feature. The feature gives you a choice after you type in the name, of 15 individuals. If the person is not in that list (say you have more than 15 individuals with the same name) - then how do you get to the remaining individuals. As of now the only way I get around it is to manufacture a second or third name, and then type that name into the Finder.
Am I missing something???
But it's not a surprise that they completely ignored my request, because some time ago I highlighted another problem with TB procedures, but it took several weeks and several messages to get their attention, before they finally fixed it. Unacceptable by any standards!!!!!!!!
Today I was trying to add a son to a couple all of which were in the tree. There were numerous people with similar names when I tried to add the son and he was NOT in the 15 choices that they give you to choose from. There is no procedure to get to the remaining names so the only option is to change the name of the individual you seek in order to find him or her.
WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THIS????
I have 16 men by the name of John Smith and an ADDITIONAL 29 men whose first name is John Smith.
I should not have to do a "work around". If you are providing a service to the public that we are paying for, we should not have to figure out how to do a "work around".
Fix it please !!!!
But are you saying that you have 15 plus identical names? e.g SMITH, John ?
