Searching for native connection for Marie L'Esperance. Born 5/6/1845 in

Canada.

Parents were Marclle Talon dit L'Esperance born 1804 and Marguerite Comet

born 1808. They were married in Henryville QC on 7/30/1829

We believe they were native American. Probably Abenaki but maybe Micmac. I

have been searching for YEARS for the answer to this mystery. Their

offspring are listed on the tribal rolls of the Abenaki in Swanton VT.

These are my relatives as well. Their common relation is Marie L'Esperance

and her husband Charles Ouimet. I have the documents that link us in

genealogy but none that say "native" for the proof required to be

acknowledged by the tribe. Can anyone help me?
