I'm working on one side of my Great Grandparents (my Mother's Dads side - Clay Dean Reynolds)but on the other side (Mary May Kelly) and I can't seem to get to the right search places.

I've tried using census, and can come u[p with some family, but I need to know how to get to other search areas, but not sure how to move around in here.

Could sure use some advise.

Grateful student,

Do you have any dates for these people or the places they lived ?

According to your tree Clay Dean Reynolds was born in 1887. This would make his father 66 years old and his mother 63 years old at Clay's time of birth.

Are you sure that you have the correct Clay Dean Reynold listed? If this is an error, for him or for his parents, it will help in your search.

What Z said. If you look at the 1860 and 1870 Iowa censuses, you will see Caleb and Eliza with 5 kids, none of whom match the 2 you show on your tree.

Hi Dianne

I don't know if I can help you with the infor you are researching but your maiden name of Scroggins is of interest to me because I am reserching the Scroggins family from Prince William V.A. and P.A. I am wondering if your family can be found in that area during the late 1800's and 1900's.

Hi Dianne

If you know the name and dob of your mother's father, you can find the census for that period. Once you find the infor on your grandfather it's easy to find infor on your great grandparents. If you know where your grandfather was born that's a great help. I know because I found my 4th great parents just by knowing the dob of my father. I also realize that during the 1800's in the South people don't move like we do today. Use this if you can on the other realtives you mention. I hope this helps.

and thank you again for your help.

Linda
